About Our Organization

The founding father's of the Corinth Emergency Squad are Donald Frasier, Ed Bartlett, Elwin Burnett, George Faller, Mark Hoffman, James Hopkins, Floyd Lafountain Jr., William Mallery, Alberto Mason, Ralph Milligan, Ed McKenna, David Nicol, Robert Nicol, Joseph Normile, Louis Plude, G. Kenneth Robinson, Harold Shepard, Roy Williams, and Harold Towers.

Donald Frasier was the principle moving force in the creation of the Corinth Emergency Squad. Donald serving as Captain along with the rest of the founding gathers, dedicated many years of their life's to serve Corinth and its surrounding communities. They were the motivator in the field of Emergency care of the sick and injured. They helped many of the Emergency Squads in the area get started. It is because of these 20 dedicated people that the Corinth Emergency Squad exist today.

The squad was built through the years by many dedicated volunteer members and by much support from the community. The squad has always tried to hold to the old saying "WHEN CALLED WE GO, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE CALL IS OR WHERE IT IS."  The main territory the squad covered was Corinth, Greenfield, Hadley, Lake Luzerne, Day, and Wilton. Today, Wilton and Lake Luzerne have their own squad's.

When the squad first started "LOAD AND GO" was the main practice. For years there was a hospital in Corinth. The hospital was closed in the early 90's thus requiring longer transports to either Saratoga or Glens Falls. We still provide transport service to those in need from hospital to hospital (No matter how far). We also still hold to the tradition of transporting anyone anywhere that needs an ambulance.

From the early years of 1 ambulance, we now have 2 ambulances, and a (Paramedic) fly car. Through the years the squad has tried to keep up with the ever changing first aid practice, certified first responders, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics are all levels this squad has seen through the years. More emphasis is to treat the patent on the scene before transport and during transport.
